Volunteer Success Manager

Identify Volunteer/Member's unique goals

Have a clear understanding of what Open Architecture has to offer its volunteers & members (i.e. Volunteer Openings, upcoming events, available educational resources & material) and best deliver these resources to maximize the Volunteer/Member's experience

Help effectively manage our book of Volunteers & Members

Responsible for increasing Volunteer/Member engagement

Onboard new Volunteers/Members

Assist with the Volunteer-to-Member process

Strategic Partnership Manager

This role is built to develop the relationship and experience of each of our existing Partners.

We are looking for highly caring, in-the-know individuals who can best help & maintain our internal community

Responsibilities

Identify Partner's goals and needs

Communicate with the team if a Partner has a service they need fulfilled (E.g. some partners ask for us to supply volunteers at their events)

Help effectively manage our book of Partners

Navigate our book of Partners for new Projects, Events, Volunteer Opportunities, and Volunteers

Have a clear understanding of what Open Architecture has to offer its partners and best deliver these resources to maximize the partner relationship

Community Outreach Representative

Description

Our Community Outreach Representatives are the most outgoing, spontaneous, and friendly group of individuals on the team

The name of this game is developing as many new volunteers, partners, and events as possible

Responsibilities

Attend as many OAC & Partner events as possible

Be the face of the organization

Through passive and intentional outreach, identify as many new volunteer, partner, and event opportunities as possible

Properly introduce volunteers, partners, and potential donors to the correct resources

Development Representative

Description

Our Development Representatives are critical to the progression of our organization

The ideal candidate is driven, open-minded, and not afraid to start a conversation

Their main responsibilities are fundraising & managing current donor relationships

Responsibilities

Understand the current needs of the organization + build development strategies around these needs in order to acquire sufficient resources

Full-cycle management of the fundraising to established relationship process

Identify new opportunities for fundraising by establishing new donor relations

Maintain current donor relationships with occasional check-ins

When needed, acquire other outside donations such as items for our auction and equipment needed for build days/projects

Grant Writer

Description

The Grant Writer is an integral member of the development team helping to secure financial support for Open Architecture Chicago

This individual will be responsible for writing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, reports and other communications to trusts, foundations, and select corporations. Creativity in the development of this process is encouraged. We are looking for someone to take ownership of the process to expand, strengthen, and diversify our efforts

Responsibilities

Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare and submit well-written, well-researched, and well-documented grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources

Manage and monitor multiple grant applications and reports

Research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants

Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors

Communicate regularly with Directors of Development and appropriate teams and departments on the status of pending proposals

Work with Director of Development to provide reports to Board of Directors and other audiences
